My Qualifications

I was raised on a working farm in southern Minnesota, and graduated from a high school about the same size as the Gilford High School. After college I spent 23 years in the corporate business world working with companies both large and small, including Farmers Insurance Group, the Anheuser-Busch Companies, and United Airlines. I managed multi-million dollar budgets and helped lead several major projects, including the setup and staffing of 300-400 person customer service facilities, the development of employee health insurance cost packages, and site searches for expansion of company offices within the U.S. and Canada.

About three years ago I left my corporate employment and started my own website and web application development company. I have worked extensively with the Belknap County Economic Development Commission, the Laconia Airport, and several other local businesses and agencies.  I've been involved in the Gilford Community Church and other committees and organizations within the Town of Gilford.   I have two sons - ages 13 and 11 - enrolled in the Gilford Middle School, and my wife - Katherine - is the director of the Gilford Public Library.

I have followed the work of the budget committee for several years, and this year I attended most of their regular public sessions. I look forward to the opportunity to serve all Gilford residents, and I am committed to working with other committee members to find solutions that bring us together, and move us forward.
